Many artists have covered Elvis Presley’s iconic love ballad “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” but none can quite compare to Italian singer Andrea Bocelli’s. 

Who is Andrea Bocelli?

Bocelli is famed not just for his singing abilities, but also for his talent for bringing classical music to the top of international pop charts. He is the first classical artist to reach No. 1 in the Official UK Album Chart since 1994.

Bocelli has sold over 80 million records worldwide with over 15 solo albums covering both classical and pop music genres. He has recorded complete operas, popular songs and arias, and has duetted with the likes of Celine Dion (“The prayer” song) and Sarah Brightman (“Time to say goodbye” song).  Andrea bocelli is married to Veronica Berti and They have a girl Virginia, Bocelli’s third child – but first daughter. He and his ex-wife, Enrica Cenzatti separated in 2002; she lives near by with their sons (Matteo Bocelli and Amos Bocelli) in the original family home.

 

Can’t Help Falling In Love With You is a pop song recorded by American singer Elvis Presley. It was a great success when Elvis first sang it for “Blue Hawaii” movie in 1961 and became his most popular and famous “love song”, but it was not sung to his love interest in Blue Hawaii – It was sung to his grandmother on the occasion of her birthday. 

His rendition soared to the top for the British charts in 1962. However, This song was inspired by classical piece “Plaisir d’amour”, a popular French love song composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini. Many artists had covered this song over the years. perhaps the most famous rendition remain Andy Williams’ version which went to #3 in the UK and Andrea Bocelli’s version.
