David Garrett plays the most popular pop and rock songs



The violin virtuoso David Garrett has won many plaudits both for his classical playing and unique crossover styles. He carries the torch for classical crossover and he is attracting new audiences thanks to his orchestral covers of popular rock songs that have helped to make him world-famous.

The Violinist superstar mixes pop and classical music to create a unique culturally electric genre of music where other musicians have failed.

He has played in all the great European cities with the most distinguished orchestras and conductors such as the Mozarteum Orchester, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Paris, the Staatskapelle Dresden, and many others. 

He’s recorded albums of core works and rock songs. in 2007, He released his first album, Free, tackling repertoire as diverse as Paganini’s Caprice No. 24 to Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’.

In 2010 Garrett released Rock Symphonies, a whole album of rock and metal songs cover versions recorded on the violin.
